Britney: ‘X Factor’ Was ‘Awesome’
In the same Madonna-like hot pants she wore just two days earlier to the Bambi Awards in Germany, Brit performed her chart-topping hit “Womanizer” and was honored by the show’s contestants, who performed other American songs alongside Britney’s hits, according to the Guardian.
Asked for her advice to the aspiring singers, she gave a response that echoed a longtime Nike slogan. “Just keep doing it,” she said, according to Gigwise. With her whirlwind trip, Britney seems to be following her own advice — and loving it.
“I met so many different people and I love being here in London,” she said on the show. “It’s awesome.” The star picked up the award for Best International Pop Star at the Bambis on Thursday. Her comeback continues next week with the release of her new album, “Circus.”

New RS Picture + Excerpts
There's an understanding among those who know Britney well: When she's blond, she's happy. When she's brunette, she's sad. When she's pink, she's crazy. Her hair was back to glowing and golden this fall, when she spent her time diligently shuttling back and forth from her Beverly Hills mansion to dance rehearsals and video shoots and recording studios, in preparation for her new album, Circus. It was a complete transformation, following a year in which she spent a month in rehab, endured a brutal custody battle with her ex-husband Kevin Federline and careened toward a massive — and very public — meltdown that culminated in two involuntary psychiatric hospitalizations in January.
"I feel like an old person now," she says one afternoon, as a manicurist applies rhinestones and girly pink lacquer to her chewed-up nails. "I do! I go to bed at, like, 9:30 every night, and I don't go out or anything, you know what I mean? I just feel like an old fart."
The beauty rest has done her well: In a Hollywood recording studio in September, dressed in black jeans, platform heels and a bedazzled hoodie, Spears looks more like her former self than she has in years. She has makeup on, but it's faded just enough that it could be yesterday's. She says she's considering lopping off the weave she's worn since shaving her head in 2007, and when she counts up her tattoos — "Seven! Oh, my God, y'all!" — she falls back into the couch giggling, kicking her feet in the air.
Spears has always been like this: silly, sweet, humble. She has never been very articulate, but she always tries to be accommodating. Tonight, she's listening to mixes and finishing work on a track called "Lace and Leather." When I ask how she knows if a song is going to be a hit, she says, "You just hear it, and you're like, oh, my God, if somebody else takes this song, you're gonna kill yourself, you know what I mean? Like, this one I'm doing tonight, I think it's good, and it's, like, really quirky and different and girly."
"A little naughty," says her manager, Larry Rudolph, 45, sitting nearby in a T-shirt and jeans.
"A little naugh-tay," Spears agrees, sounding half-embarrassed.
There are differences in Britney, too, from the last time I saw her, in 2006, when we hung out in her New York hotel room watching American Idol while her son Sean Preston crawled around on the bed nearby. She is shyer, more guarded, remote — like the old Britney but with the volume turned way down. Her last hit single, "Piece of Me," dealt with her public image ("I'm Miss Bad Media Karma/Another day, another drama"), but she says she's not sure she wants to include anything so revealing on Circus. "It's scary to put yourself out there and be like, 'Oh, God, is that cool?' If you're not going to really go for it, you can't just go there halfway." And then, as though changing her mind midthought, she adds, "But sometimes, when you go for it, you can't lose."
Of all the things Britney has lost in the past year, it's the custody of her sons, Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden, 2, that has shaken her hardest. "Every time they come to visit me, I think about how they're such special people," says Spears, who currently sees the boys three days a week, with one overnight stay. "Like, they're going to preschool now! I went there to pick them up on Friday, and seeing them in their little classroom and seeing Jayden being bad or not listening? It's like, those are mine, and it's just crazy, you know what I mean? And the things that are coming out of their mouths right now — they're learning so much, and it's new, and you never know what they're going to say, and they're so smart yet so innocent. They're obsessed with monsters, and every night we look outside, and we have to show them that there's no monsters out there. It's dark outside, but there's nothin' out there, you know?"
Ever since she was a little girl growing up in Kentwood, Louisiana, Spears dreamed of having her own children. She considered the experience "the closest thing to God," she said in 2004 in a note on her fan site. "To be a really good mom, I feel your child needs to be your full-time job. I want to raise my kids and share all of those precious moments with them."
But things haven't turned out like she imagined. "I didn't think my husband was gonna leave me," she says, deadpan. She laughs to break the tension. "Otherwise, I'd be with my babies 24/7. But since they're almost like twins, they both take care of each other. I think they look like me," she says, going from affectionate to bitter as she gets distracted by thoughts of Federline, whom she sees only when one of them is picking up the boys. "They don't look like their father at all," she continues. "And it's weird 'cause they're starting to learn words like 'stupid,' and Preston says the f-word now sometimes. He doesn't get it from us. He must get it from his daddy. I say it, but not around my kids."
Of course, Britney hasn't quite turned out to be a model parent, either, and it was her own erratic behavior that led to her losing custody. During Britney's second trip to the psych ward, when her dad, Jamie, wanted to convince her to let him take control of her life, he told her he would help her get her babies back. He and attorney Andrew Wallet filed for a legal conservatorship that makes them responsible for overseeing her finances and her personal life — Britney today has about as many legal rights as when she was in the Mickey Mouse Club. She is watched over day and night by security guards Jamie hired (and she's paying for); it's also rumored that Britney's phone calls are closely monitored and that she's not allowed to drive her own Mercedes. Recently, says one source with ties to the Britney camp, Jamie fired a guard who let the singer use his phone. (Her rep denies the claim.)
Britney Spears Heads to Europe for Circus
The singer boarded a flight from Los Angeles to Frankfurt, Germany on Monday for several appearances in support of the album, which is scheduled to be released Dec. 2.
Spears is traveling with several close associates and family members, including her father, Jamie, and manager Larry Rudolph. According to an eyewitness, the singer – dressed in a brown fedora, black sweatpants and a pink top – jumped out of her white Cadillac Escalade smiling and holding her dad's hand at the airport.
After a short time in Germany, Spears is expected to appear on the French program, Star Academy, and on Simon Cowell's X Factor in England before returning to the U.S. next week. She is scheduled to go on a worldwide tour in the spring of next year.
Spears's candid new MTV documentary, Britney: For the Record, airs Nov. 30.

Exclusive: Small Taste Of Glamour Magazine Photoshoot
BreatheHeavy.com just got a sneak peek from an industry insider of
Britney's new covershoot for Glamour Magazine! Though the pictures are secure
under lock and key, I am allowed to give a short description:
Shot by
Mark Liddell, Britney rocks several pricey gowns and one-pieces. In one set,
Britney wears a short white dress with the slit rising all the way up to her
waist, tied with a golden silk belt.
Another set shows a soft, seductive
Britney posing in a long, floor-length purple gown and cream-colored high heels.
Britney rests her hands on her neck and hips, glancing at the camera
ever-so-seductively with long blonde hair. No smiles in this group.
The
shoot soon heats up though when Britney is photographed in a black Dolce &
Gabana mini that covers just her bottom, mid-section and breasts, as well as a
pair of shiny green-sequenced shoes. Her blonde hair is shoulder length in
these. Several snaps are in color, the rest are in black & white.
The last set features Britney, still with short blonde hair, in a long
black lace dress with bare shoulders and a high slit reaching her upper thigh,
posing in a dark room full of metal steps, light fixtures and silver tile.
The source tells me you'll see the issue sooner than later, but this
taste should tie your watering mouths over. For now!
ps - OH, and some
of these should be in Vanity Fair too. Didn't hear it from meeee.

Court Update: Britney’s Ready to Tour!
Britney told the Commish she wanted to make sure if there would be any ramifications with the conservatorship if she went on tour. Since the hearing was closed, it’s unclear what the Commish said.
At one point, Britney went into chambers with the Commish and it looked like she went alone.

Britney Arrives at “For The Record” Screening
People: “For The Record” Review
The riveting, 90-minute documentary kicks off at Spears’s home on the morning of the MTV Video Music Awards, with her tank-top-clad dad, Jamie, in the kitchen making his daughter cheese grits (with Velveeta) as she preps for the show. In the kitchen, her manager, Larry Rudolph, proclaims it “the official beginning of the comeback.”
Though Spears says she doesn’t like the word “comeback,” she admits, “I had totally lost my way, lost focus, lost myself.”
Loneliness Led to Wrong Choices
Early in the film – which premieres on MTV Sunday, Nov. 30, two days prior to the release of her new CD, Circus – the pop star, 26, explains why she agreed to let a camera crew follow her: “I wasn’t being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in. … There’s a lot that people don’t know about me.”
Spears takes topics ranging from her failed romances with Justin Timberlake and Kevin Federline ["I never really faced it, and I just ran," she says of divorcing him] to why she let “bad people” into her life. Her excuse: “Because I was lonely.”
At one point, Spears – whose father has permanent legal conservatorship over her affairs – bursts into tears while discussing her situation. “It’s bad,” she says. “I’m sad.”
Misses the ‘Excitement’
Later, she complains that her life is “too in-control. There’s no excitement. There’s no passion.”
The cameras follow Spears to New York City, where she meets with execs from her record label, goes shopping [she picks out a blouse and calls it "very Katie Holmes"] and sees the Broadway musical In the Heights – all the while being hounded by photographers who she says cramp her style.
“I was a pretty cool chick,” she says, “and I’m really not that way anymore.”
Still, she tries to keep things in perspective. “I think, it could be a lot worse. … People have it a lot worse than I do.”

“Mmm Papi” Is Not About Adnan!
“I never said that to the US Weekly! The song is definitely not about Adnan and
in the whole time I worked with her last spring and summer I never once saw that
guy. We strictly wrote the song for fun. the Mmm Papi part came out of Mmm Papa
Luv U and I came up with it because the track was a fun up beat track and we
wanted to do something crazy like mmmpapamowow.
The mmm papi part came
later as rhythmic idea and it was also more inspired by Hey Mami from the group
Fannypack and is our ode to all the Latino hotties in the world such as
yourself! Please be kind to Britney and I and post this correction. She was oh
so sweet and professional to work with, and I believe she’s really gotten her
life together.”

Britney Spears Brings Her Boys to Louisiana
It was the first time the 26-year-old singer was allowed to take Preston, 3, and Jayden, 2, out of California since losing all custody rights earlier this year to ex-husband Kevin Federline.
"This is a terrific indication of the progress she's made, and the growing trust between the two parents," says a source close to Spears. "It was arranged cooperatively between Kevin and the lawyers."
Spears made the trip the day after her mini reunion with former boyfriend Justin Timberlake at a Madonna concert in L.A. Spears traveled with her father, Jamie, who has legal control of her affairs.
Since reaching a custody settlement in July, Spears currently has two visits and an overnight per week with her children.
Adds the source: "Britney just wanted to get some family time in and show the boys Louisiana, now that they're getting older."

Britney & Madonna Sing Human Nature... They're Not Sorry!!!!
Brit and Madge took to the stage at the opening of Madonna's Sticky & Sweet concert in LA.
Britney was wearing all black, as the two belted out their misogynist anthem with lyrics that Madonna dedicated, in not so many words, to her estranged husband Guy Ritchie, during her recent Boston concert:
“I’m alright, don’t be sorry, but it’s true/When I’m gone, you realize/That I’m the best thing to happen to you." And "I guess we’re at our best when we’re miles away/So far away, so far away.”
Brit was wearing black pants and a tuxedo-style white top with black heels. An X17 reporter at the concert described Britney as "ecstatic" and "so happy."
Queen B stood side-by-side with the Material girl, just kind of grooving to the music, but not full-on dancing. At the end of the number, Brit was lowered underneath the stage before a crowd of screaming fans. Our reporter said: "Britney looked awesome and the crowd was insanely excited to see her. I have a feeling she'll do another number with Madonna."
A stadium worker at the show, told our reporter he saw Brit and Madonna rehearse a number in which Britney sings and Madonna backs her up with guitar! -- We hope it's coming soon!
So now the stadium full of fans is just waiting to see if they'll get another taste of heaven -- with a cherry on top if Justin performs too!!!!!
Is this the dream line-up or what?!

Report: Justin Timberlake & Britney Spears To Join Madonna On Stage In Los Angeles
The KIIS FM morning DJ called his fellow jock, Jessie, to share the news he couldn’t keep until his Thursday morning breakfast show, “On Air With Ryan Seacrest.”
“I just got word that Justin and Britney are going to be on stage with Madonna tomorrow at Dodger stadium,” Ryan revealed.
And he said the former couple won’t just pop up to increase the celebrity factor.
“They’re going to be on stage, performing at some point with Madonna tomorrow,” Ryan said.
Both Justin and Britney have recorded music with Madonna over the years.
Justin is featured on “4 Minutes,” the lead single from Madonna’s latest album, “Hard Candy.” He previously performed the track with Madonna at Roseland Ballroom in New York City in April, to help kick off the launch of her album.
As for Britney, she and Madonna collaborated on “Me Against The Music,” which was featured on Brit’s 2003 album, “In The Zone.”
Madonna and Britney previously shared the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2003, where they performed a version of “Like A Virgin,” and engaged in an infamous on-stage kiss. Britney is also featured in footage shown during Madonna’s current “Sticky & Sweet” tour.

Home-Grown Star To Show Britney’s Other Side
Robson, 26, who is directing the tour — which is expected to make or break Spears in the music industry — says he and the pop singer want the shows to be “great and classy and elegant and exciting”.
“We want to present her in a way that is her but a way that has never been seen. It’s another side,” said Robson, the Brisbane boy who is one of the hottest choreographers in the US.
Not only is Robson the creative director but his wife, Amanda, is co-artistic director on the tour, which is expected to generate a wide level of interest because of Spears’s breakdown last year.
Robson confirmed that Spears was hoping to bring the show to Australia, most likely towards the end of 2009. Spears’ new album, Circus, will be released on December 2.

Britney In Tears: Is Spears Pushing Herself Too Hard?
The report claims that insiders say the singer, who was hospitalized for a breakdown last January, is in danger of buckling under the pressure. is Britney really that close to the edge - she certainly appears to look more healthy and certainly has changed her lifestyle dramatically. The magazine says that insiders think differently.
“Britney is not fully recovered from her breakdown - she’s definitely nervous that she isn’t strong enough yet to handle the pressure of a tour and comeback,” an insider tells In Touch. “Britney is very emotional, very vulnerable and is still battling the mixed emotions and confusion that come with intense therapy.”
Britney wants joint custody of sons Sean, 3 and Jayden, 2, which she lost in October 2007. But a judge can’t reinstate joint custody without lots of observation - a therapist screened her boys’ birthday party in September - and Britney will soon be out of eyeshot. Set to begin in March, her world tour will take her away from LA - and her sons - for most of 2009.

Britney Spears Unveils Circus Cover And Tracks
Spears also announced that the next single will be the title track, “Circus,” produced by Dr. Luke and Benny Blanco. It’s the second cut on the album, after “Womanizer.” The rest of the songs under Britney’s big top include “Out From Under,” “Kill the Lights,” “Shattered Glass,” “If U Seek Amy,” “Unusual You,” “Blur,” “Mmm Papi,” “Mannequin,” “Lace and Leather,” “My Baby” and as a bonus track, “Radar.”
That last track might be a little confusing to Brit fans, considering that she already has a song called “Radar,” produced by Bloodshy and Avant (the team behind “Toxic”) and the Clutch. Is this a separate song, or is Britney going on repeat mode? Her label, Jive Records, tells us it’s the same song, but it might be a different mix.
