Jamie Spears Squashes Britney Fansite
In a note to readers, the purveyor of the "Number One Britney Spears Fansite," stated that the popster's father has demanded that he shut down the website—which has been critical of Britney's present conservatorship arrangement—calling him "an über-fan who has gone too far."
"I have been battling the conservatorship Britney is currently placed under for months now," wrote BreatheHeavy owner Jordan Miller. "When I did not conform to the requests and demands Britney's management and father, Jamie Spears, recently put upon BreatheHeavy to stay quiet, they in turn became angry and malicious, launching, what I feel is an unjust attack, against me and my website."
According to Miller, he received a notice from Jamie's legal camp pressuring him to make the site go away by 3 p.m. PT today or face an injunction.
The legal missive charged Miller with various copyright and trademark violations for posting Britney song lyrics, photos, videos and audio clips without permission.
But Miller, for one, isn't buying it.
"The real issue, in my opinion, is hidden behind these Copyright Infringement claims, rather management, particularly her father/conservator, Jamie Spears, who makes $18,000 a month off his daughter, is desperately trying to hide the truth about Britney's imprisonment, and shut anyone up who disagrees with their conniving and selfish exploitation of an innocent mother of 2 pushed back into the limelight just several months after a hospitalization," Miller writes.
Per the terms of the conservatorship, Jamie collects $2,500 per week from Britney's estate, plus funds to lease a car.
Miller claims that Jamie Spears threatened over the phone "to destroy [his] ass" if he didn't wipe the site clean.
"They are saying that I am using Britney's name and image without her consent to make money, even though the money is going back into the website," Miller, a Las Vegas college student, told E! News Friday. "The lawyers don't care whether or not I'm making [a] profit. They say that any image of Britney I use is infringement and in violation of her right to publicity and privacy."
The Spears lawyers wouldn't give him specific examples of the so-called violations, however, he said. But they have offered to let him keep the site up so long as they have a final say over everything he posts.
"But if they do that it's not my website. It's just another website they can manage and control," Miller said.
BreathHeavy.com is currently up and running, but all links lead to Miller's farewell letter.
"I...want to thank you with all my heart for the loyalty and support you've shown over the last 5 years BreatheHeavy has been open," Miller wrote.
A rep for Spears did not immediately return a request for comment.

Britney Spears to Perform With Michael Jackson?
The Thriller singer is due to play 50 gigs at the British capital's O2 Arena later this year and throughout 2010.
And he is said to be keen to have the Toxic hitmaker join him on stage during some of the shows.
A source tells The London Paper, "Michael knows that stretching out all those shows and keeping it fresh is going to be hard, and one way to do this is to collaborate with some other big stars that he admires.
"The idea would be for them to do five dates each with him. As well as Britney and Justin, he's in talks with producer Timbaland about doing some of the dates too."
Meanwhile, recent reports have claimed that Jackson, 50, has requested that he arrive for each of his dates at The O2 Arena by boat, rather than car or helicopter.

Britney Spears' Parents Bite Back at Sam Lutfi's Claims of Neglect and Exploitation
Jamie and Lynne filed a Motion to Strike in the Los Angeles Superior court last week, alleging that the complaint Lutfi filed against them in February was essentially baseless.
According to the papers, Lutfi’s suit contains “content that appears to be a calculated attempt to exploit the court system by turning a legal pleading into a fanciful public relations press release with no factual or legal moorings.”
Lutfi claimed Brit’s folks failed to “offer their fragile daughter guidance or emotional support” during her downward spiral last year and accused them of financially capitalizing on her misfortunes, controlling every aspect of her life and interfering with her marriage to Kevin Federline.
In the new motion filed, Jamie and Lynne Spears claim that Lutfi’s “far-fetched” depictions of Britney’s personal relationships are “false” and “paint a scandalous picture.” In addition, the Spears allege that his claim that Jamie engaged in harmful physical contact toward him are irrelevant and serve no other purpose than to “excite the passions and prejudices of the public.”
Lutfi’s attorney was not immediately available for comment. The issue is expected to be addressed in court on April 9.

The "Circus" Tour Heading To Australia?
Will Britney take the "Circus" down under?
"All the promoters are vying for it, but the bottom line is she really wants to come here and she really wants to come here this year," Sony Australia boss Denis Handlin said. Barry Weiss, head of JIVE Records, spoke to Handlin last week about the tour.
"I think the promoters are battling it out at the moment," he said. Frontier Touring's Michael Gudinski confirmed he was in talks with Britney's management, stating there were several promoters after Britney and her possible Australian tour dates."I don't expect anything will be worked out or finalised for a month, but we're in there."

Britney Spears to visit sick children at Great Ormond Street Hospital
Britters's show may be too hot for the kids to see but she won't be ignoring her younger fans.
Between her gigs at London's O2 Arena in June, Brit, 27, plans to visit sick children at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
A source said: "She would really like to do this. In Miami she met up with 40 kids and posed for pictures with them. She found it really moving that just a couple of minutes with the children could mean so much to them."

Britney Spears: You don't go for singing, you go for the show
It is important to note that when buying a ticket to see the blonde bombshell live, you are purchasing a seat to witness a spectacle more than a concert. With that mindset, Thursday’s audience could not have been disappointed with the literal and figurative “Circus” that Britney brought north of the border with. It featured Perez Hilton in drag, (on video), many circus acrobats, and the sizzle of many sexy dancers, synonymous with any Spears performance. Undoubtedly paying homage to the circus her life has become, the concert’s theme certainly was a good one as the carnival acts made up for any legs in the two-hour show and especially during Britney’s costume changes. The three-ring stage was a nice touch.
On Thursday, reviewer Mike Doherty said that Britney’s dances on Wednesday lacked the energy that she has displayed in past performances. Perhaps it was the earlier start time, but she definitely sizzled on Thursday’s show.
Really, the show came down to whether the more-than-obvious lip synching bothered you or not. Considering the majority of the audience included young teeny-boppers screaming loudly and more focused on taking photos to send to friends than the music they paid to see, this was definitely not a factor. It was the same case for the horny guys in attendance who were only there to see the leggy blonde rather than to listen to “If You Seek Amy.” As a result, the highly-entertaining show totally delivered.
Notable highlights including Britney actually belting out “Everytime” instead of the Milli Vanilli routine, an inspired Bollywood version of “Me Against The Music” (which was almost as good as seeing Madonna… I kid), and the many precarious positions that Britney found herself gyrating in, obviously including a cage (duh), a wire fence and even a magician’s box where she proceeded to mock-strip behind the curtains.
While I thought it would be a shock to see “Britney The Mom” perform for the first time, it really wasn’t, as her show was just as good as it was a couple of years ago. While many critics like to pigeonhole Spears and all pop artists being prepackaged, Spears has been able to reinvent herself over and over again. While no one expected her to able to recover from the awful VMA performance, she was able to and while she still has a long way to go before recapturing past success, if her “Circus” is any indication, she is on the right path.
You want a piece of her? Go and see this show.

Lopez: 'I felt Britney's pain'
The 'I'm Real' star claimed that she found Spears's hospitalisation for mental health issues "painful to watch" and can empathise with some of her problems.
"I understood the pressure she was going through, having been through a divorce, having money, having people depend on you. It will destroy you," she told In Touch magazine.
Lopez, who was previously married to Cuban-born waiter Ojani Noa and dancer Chris Judd, added that she works hard to resolve any problems with husband Marc Anthony.
"If one of us has a complaint, the other one has to listen, no matter how difficult. We have to see if we care enough to change it and if we do care, then we have to change it," she said.
Recent reports have suggested that Lopez has given up on plans to launch a music comeback.

Dad's Control Over Britney To End
It's a Circus on stage, but off stage it's far less chaotic. A source close to Britney Spears tells RadarOnline.com exclusively that the Circus Tour has been the best thing to happen to the once-troubled singer and she has made so much progress that her father's control over her affairs will end.
"Britney is in a terrific place right now," the source said. "She absolutely loves being back on tour." Initially her father Jamie was worried about the demands of a tour. "He wasn't a big supporter of her going on the road, he didn't want her to take on too much, too soon," the source said.
But "Britney was absolutely adamant that she be allowed to go on tour. She assured her family, and management that she was ready to do this, and that she really needed to do this." And so far she has handled it extremely well, so well, in fact, that RadarOnline.com has learned her father will not accompany her for the entire tour. What's more, people close to the situation are now saying there will be an end to Jamie's conservatorship of Britney.
"This was the plan all along, to slowly get her back to the routine of her life, it (the conservatorship) won't last longer than it needs to," the source said. "Success will be achieved when this conservatorship ends, and Britney is ready to resume full control of her life."

Dancers Get Kicked Off Circus Tour
The tour is largely seen as Spears' official comeback, and her team is putting a lockdown on any possible disruptions or distractions.
"I think [the fired dancers] just didn't expect to actually get tested," says the source. "And drugs are just not okay so they had to go."
With the rave reviews Spears has been getting since her kick-off performance in New Orleans on March 3, it seems like are few strict policies make the right recipe for success.

Britney Spears Surprises Kids At Miami Hospital
Spears stopped by Miami Children's Hospital for a surprise visit with sick kids and to donate $100,000 to the hospital's Big Apple Circus Clown Care, a community outreach program that brings the joys of the circus to hospitalized children at 19 leading pediatric facilities across the United States.
Pediatric radiologist Ricardo Restrepo and Lee Schrager, Director of Media for Southern Wine and Spirits America, arranged for the singer to visit the hospital, saying the circus theme of her tour was a natural tie in for a hospital with clowns.
Spears was with her dad, Jamie, who has been keeping her on a literal tight rope since the pop tart kicked off her Circus tour in New Orleans last week. Although papa Spears tried to prevent us from snapping any shots, we managed to snag one of Brit, who looked surprisingly fresh, dewy and poised, if not a little robotic.
The singer posed for photos with kids, barely spoke beyond "Say cheese," and was in and out in literally ten minutes. But that's OK-- she's busy. Tonight, Brit brings her Circus show to the American Airlines Arena in Miami.
Sources tell RadarOnline.com that Britney's mom Lynne and baby sister Jamie Lynn flew a separate jet into Miami to join her tonight. Those hoping Brit will go batty in Miami tonight should look elsewhere for train wreck material ---(such as the Seminole Hard Rock where Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson are trashing a party)----as it is clear her dad has her under serious surveillance.

It's Britney – One More Time!
"Ahhh Britney!" gushed one concert-goer via a Twitter message posted on Spears's Web site, which live-blogged the show in words and cell-phone photos.
As the pop star launched her first tour in five years, the 16-song set began with Spears, 27, being lowered from the rafters in a cage and breaking into the single "Circus," followed by "Piece of Me" and "Radar" with stripper-pole dancing.
"Oh my god, she looks amazing," said Joshua Matassa, 23, from New Orleans. "And the show's a spectacle – it really looks like a three-ring circus."
Later, fire shot out of the middle of the stage during "Slave," and the nearly sold-out 19,000-seat arena broke out into an explosion of screams as Spears performed "Toxic" and "Baby One More Time" back-to-back.
To cap off the show, pyrotechnics made firey rain sprinkle down on Spears and her dance crew as they finished performing "Womanizer."
"Thank you so much," said Spears as she blew a kiss to the crowd. "You have a good night."
The performance marked a dramatic return to form for Spears, who's been rehearsing for the 32-city tour, and placed aside – for now – the issues that derailed her personal and professional lives: the messy divorce from Kevin Federline, losing custody of her children, and the self-acknowledged breakdown that followed.
Instead, Tuesday was a night of celebration and a chance for Spears, who hails from Kentwood, about 100 miles away, to bask in the glow of hometown fans.

Britney Spears To Bring Out Classic Songs & ‘Wild’ Costumes On ‘Circus’ Tour
The singer’s official Web site posted the set list for, “The Circus starring Britney Spears,” tour, and fans now know that the show will be packed with a host of Brit’s most beloved songs.
he show will kick off with the title track from Britney’s sixth studio album, “Circus,” and will be followed by “Piece of Me,” from 2007’s “Blackout.”
Other Britney favorites cropping up on the set list include a Bollywood version of “Me Against The Music,” the song Britney originally dueted on with Madonna, leading some to wonder if the Queen of Pop will be appearing by video on Brit’s tour. After all, Britney did the very same for Madonna’s “Sticky & Sweet” jaunt last year.
Britney will also perform “Toxic,” and a remix of her uber-classic first single, “Baby One More Time.”
The encore will include “Womanizer” and another version of the opening song, “Circus.”
And, according to Women’s Wear Daily, design house Dsquared has only just finished up the pop star’s costumes for the upcoming 30-date trek.
Dan and Dean Caten, who make up Dsquared, were brought on last year to design stage wear for Britney and they told WWD they were honored to be a part of the “Circus.”
“We are enormous fans of Britney, and have been waiting for the perfect moment to collaborate with her,” twin designer Dan and Dean told the fashion daily. “It’s going to be wild.”

K-Fed Joins Spears Family for Tour
And now another member of the clan has landed in the Big Easy, as Brit's ex, Kevin Federline flew to New Orleans over the weekend so he can join his boys, Sean Preston, 3, and 2-year-old Jayden James, while they travel with mom on her cross-country Circus extravaganza.
As agreed to last summer following a lengthy and nasty custody battle, Kevin maintains sole physical custody of the former couple's children. But after significant negotiations between lawyers for both two sides, Brit and her onetime rapper ex arranged for her to have the boys with her during the tour.
Perhaps in his down time while the kids are napping and mom's rehearsing, Kevin will be working on his clothing line for kids?
